An extra-over service for adding the specified cement treatment to approved backfill around road-sign foundations. It is additional to the base excavation and backfill item.

Technical specification

• Unit: m³ of treated backfill as measured under the contract.
• Cement dosage, material grading, moisture conditioning and compaction are specified by the engineer.
• Confirm the mixing method, layer placement and curing requirements.
• Testing and inspection requirements are agreed before work starts.
• This item is not automatically equivalent to a concrete footing.

Scope and exclusions

Base excavation, untreated backfill, concrete foundations, plant mobilisation, testing and traffic management are excluded unless listed in the quotation.
